WHAT IS BORN TO RISE?
Born To Rise (BTR) began as a non-profit organization with objectives to feature real people sharing real stories which explore and bring awareness to topics such as vitiligo, self acceptance, acceptance of others, bullying as well as other relevant issues within the realm of rising above adversities.
Through the power of Social Media, BTR has now developed into a digitally inspiring and engaging platform connecting people through social media while focusing on being recognized on a global scale.
The mission of Born To Rise is simple.
Through focusing on real people, sharing real stories, BTR's initiative is to develop and foster a community of like minded, empathetic and supportive people who can motivate and inspire each other by recognizing that they are Born To Rise above their obstacles. Through the means of social media, events and appearances, BTR is able to connect and engage with a mass audience to promote its positive message.
STORY BEHIND THE BTR LOGO
The logo mimics the centre pattern of a sea turtle’s shell, an animal that shows a great deal of strength and perseverance as well as the circles representing a past, present and future. Once a sea turtle is hatched its difficult and most times short lived life begins. The hatchlings must face numerous obstacles and predators all while learning how to walk and swim without the help of their mother. Only one out of hundreds of sea turtles will survive this difficult journey and begin their life in the ocean. The founder Aiesha Robinson represents that one percent.
